After nearly four months, the Chicago Fire are back in action this Saturday as the 2026 MLS regular season kicks off.
Coming off their most successful season in years, the 2026 edition of the team is the most promising to take the field since the days when the Fire were regularly expected to compete for – and win – hardware. The strength of the Fire's squad combined with this summer's World Cup happening across North America makes this an exciting time for the sport in Chicago and across the continent.
Throughout the week, we'll be giving you all you need to prepare for the Fire's upcoming season, including analysis in writing and on podcasts and, of course, late-breaking news in the final week of preseason before switching gears to focus on the Fire's season opener in Houston on Saturday.
Game on, Chicago. We're glad you're with us.
